Hugo Ramalho charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Ramalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Palestra de Tomini got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Ramalho. Ciro Tavares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dorival Donato went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Ciro Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorival Donato in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Noel de Amorim made a precise shot to the right of Ciro Tavares. Palestra de Tomini's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 19 minutes into the game, Dorival Donato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bezao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Palestra de Tomini the free kick. Ciro Tavares didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Bezao's Dorival Donato shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-3 in the ordered_time% minute. If Elano Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-5 when Dorival Donato sped through Palestra de Tomini's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ciro Tavares. 40 minutes into the match, Dorival Donato had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ciro Tavares. Palestra de Tomini's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorival Donato was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-6. Dorival Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Ciro Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 47 minutes, Ernesto Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bezao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-6 lead.

After 52 minutes of play, Bezao's Valdir Figueiredo made it 1-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dorival Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Tavares having to interfere. Palestra de Tomini's Ciro Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorival Donato in the 58th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Palestra de Tomini's Tomás Queirós made it 2-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Daniel Brito was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 67 minutes, Noel de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bezao and the Palestra de Tomini players grew even worse after the yellow card. Noel de Amorim hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Dorival Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Daniel Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano Alvarenga, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Noel de Amorim took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Tavares. Ciro Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-9. Dorival Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ciro Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ciro Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Donato in the 96th minute of the match. Bezao's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
