Albertinho de Senna might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Bezerra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho de Senna ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilberto Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Marcel Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Central Futebol Clube RJ booed when Adidas Ec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adidas Ec's Marcel Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vasconcelos in the 10th minute of play. Marcel Bezerra came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Central Futebol Clube RJ's Gilberto Vasconcelos. But to his dismay, Gilberto Vasconcelos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Edmílson Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomás Vinhas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Davi Dias made a huge save. Marcel Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Albertinho de Senna came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Central Futebol Clube RJ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertinho de Senna couldn't finish the play. Tomás Vinhas struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Davi Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Adidas Ec. Marcel Bezerra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilberto Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Adidas Ec's Tomás Vinhas got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Gilberto Vasconcelos made the kick off in the second half. When Jacinto Pontes fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Central Futebol Clube RJ's protests and gave Jacinto Pontes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Jacinto Pontes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton Vinhas, 56 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Adidas Ec's Marcel Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vasconcelos in the 59th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Central Futebol Clube RJ's Gilberto Vasconcelos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcel Bezerra. That made the score 1-2 after 61 minutes of play. Marcel Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Vasconcelos in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luan Perez in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davi Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adidas Ec's Marcel Bezerra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vasconcelos in the 74th minute of play. Luan Perez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davi Dias having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Luan Perez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Adidas Ec fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After 86 played minutes, Adidas Ec's Hílton Vinhas shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Davi Dias came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Adidas Ec reached it. Gilberto Vasconcelos's late challenge caught a Adidas Ec's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Vasconcelos helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Central Futebol Clube RJ getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Gilberto Vasconcelos hit a great ball. Albertinho de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Bezerra having to interfere. If Gilberto Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
