Cléber Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Dráuzio de Mendonça made a huge save. When Buckeyes Academy's Álvaro Cunha in the 21st minute got a chance for a shot 21st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brenonalive FC's goalie prevented a goal. Álvaro Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráuzio de Mendonça having to interfere. A collision led to Brenonalive FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Tostão Duarte hit a great ball. Brenonalive FC's Bebeto Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dráuzio de Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Álvaro Cunha's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd minute, Régis Dionísio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Buckeyes Academy's Álvaro Cunha fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Zé Pedro Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto Soares in the 42nd minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Bebeto Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zé Pedro Proença. Buckeyes Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bebeto Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After the first half Brenonalive FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebeto Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. Álvaro Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Dráuzio de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dráuzio de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléber Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro Proença came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Brenonalive FC's Bebeto Soares. But to his dismay, Bebeto Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cido Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cléber Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Dráuzio de Mendonça didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buckeyes Academy. When Cléber Mendonça fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brenonalive FC's protests and gave Cléber Mendonça a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th match minute, Brenonalive FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cléber Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Brenonalive FC's Dráuzio de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Cunha in the 79th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Buckeyes Academy's Diego Gaspar got a free kick in the 81st minute. Cléber Albuquerque blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dráuzio de Mendonça having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Cunha in the 85th minute of play forced Brenonalive FC's goalkeeper Dráuzio de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Valdemar Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Cléber Albuquerque came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Buckeyes Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Albuquerque couldn't finish the play.
