In the 36th match minute, S.E Santa Rita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidney Antunes to maneuver through the defense. Rômulo de Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Leontin Gâfu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.E Santa Rita. When Nilton Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the S.E Santa Rita fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Trigo couldn't finish the play. Leontin Gâfu came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by S.E Santa Rita's Nilton Trigo. But to his dismay, Nilton Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rômulo de Carvalho made a kick off. Hélder Paraense might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Beto Messias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Paraense ran back to his position shaking his head. If Pedro Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, S.E Santa Rita's goal looked a bit too open when Hélder Paraense came free, but Beto Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leontin Gâfu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilton Trigo in the 73rd minute of play. Rômulo de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Leontin Gâfu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lebib Pumareto during the 79th minute. When Rômulo de Carvalho came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the S.E Santa Rita fans jumped to their feet. Vasco FC's Lebib Pumareto got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Lebib Pumareto off the ground. After 84 played minutes Vasco FC got a freekick which was hit by Lebib Pumareto. Hélder Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto Messias having to interfere.
