Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Róbson Teles got the match started through his kick off. Túlio Pena stood somewhat misplaced when Dário da Mata came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 3 minute. If Caco Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Róbson Teles's late challenge caught a CGMS FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson Teles helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th minute, Róbson Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind CGMS FC's goalkeeper Mazinho Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fernandão Munhoz struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Mazinho Alves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fluviopolis. Nando Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Fluviopolis's Róbson Teles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mazinho Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dário da Mata could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Túlio Pena made a huge save. Cleiton Rezende took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Túlio Pena. Túlio Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 35th minute, Fluviopolis's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dário da Mata fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Cleiton Rezende charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Rezende the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fluviopolis booed when CGMS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Rezende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Túlio Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nando Almeida hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, CGMS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Teles came free, but Mazinho Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th play minute Dário da Mata came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Túlio Pena. 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caco Martins was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Fluviopolis booed when CGMS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Téo Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55thth minute of the game Caco Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fluviopolis's Túlio Pena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Túlio Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 63 played minutes Fluviopolis got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Maranhense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Róbson Teles in the 68th minute of play forced CGMS FC's goalkeeper Mazinho Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dário da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Túlio Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Fluviopolis's zone, Dário da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Túlio Pena came out of the goal and Dário da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Caco Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Martins, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Caco Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Pena having to interfere. If Dário da Mata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Caco Martins came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the CGMS FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Martins couldn't finish the play. Dário da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 96 minutes, Caco Martins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CGMS FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Martins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the CGMS FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
