The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Mendonça showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Leonardo Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Hamílton Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Kauã Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonel Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute, Virtus Pro's Leonel Tróia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hamílton Mendonça. Hamílton Mendonça yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 39th minute, Kauã Meireles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sidney Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirracao's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Guimarães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fabiano Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leonel Tróia to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauã Meireles in the 55th minute of play forced Virtus Pro's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirracao's Hamílton Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Garcia in the 60th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kauã Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Kauã Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Soares having to interfere. Manfredo Bittencourt hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Hamílton Mendonça didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Garcia went, in the 78th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Sidney Guimarães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd match minute, Virtus Pro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evandro da Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute, Evandro da Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Nelson Cabral put in a rough tackle. In the 93rd minute, one of Virtus Pro:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Virtus Pro. The goalkeeper, Luiz Fabiano Soares, was totally fooled by Pirracao's Kléber Netto, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
