Luizão Vargas struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Luiz Guilherme Pombal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guacupi FC. After 28 played minutes Ceifadores got a freekick which was hit by Hernani Massa. 43 minutes into the match, Luizão Vargas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luiz Guilherme Pombal, 2-1. Hernani Massa got his second yellow card in the match during the 47th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Ceifadores's Luiz Guilherme Pombal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luizão Vargas in the 55th minute of play. Luiz Guilherme Pombal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelo Freitas in the 60th minute of the match. Osvaldo Sena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilian Saldanha hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Vicente de Mendonça made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elder Fernandes in the 84th minute. When Wilian Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Guacupi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilian Saldanha couldn't finish the play. Osvaldo Sena scored 5-1 in the 87th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luiz Guilherme Pombal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Davi Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ceifadores booed when Guacupi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente de Mendonça read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Guacupi FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
