CORINTHIANS LINENSE's Angelo Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guido Enol in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Luminosa booed when E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. 15 minutes into the match, E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's goal looked a bit too open when Guido Enol came free, but Angelo Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, E.C. Luminosa's Gláuber Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With 43 minutes on the clock, Luizão Fonseca commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 42nd minute of the game. One of Luminosa:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE:s goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

After having played for 52 minutes, Régis Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Luminosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Régis Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 60 minutes into the game, Luminosa's Ricardinho Corrêa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Angelo Garcia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Sidnei Sanches recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Luminosa booed when E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Monteiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Luminosa's Jonathan Azevedo got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 72nd minute of the match, Amadeu Monteiro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rüdiger Herz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rüdiger Herz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sidnei Sanches in the 74th minute. When Ricardinho Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Luminosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardinho Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Luminosa's Vágner Freire was substituted for Jonathan Azevedo. Vágner Freire fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Garcia having to interfere. Vágner Freire scored 6-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vágner Freire in the 87th minute of play forced E.C. CORINTHIANS LINENSE's goalkeeper Angelo Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ricardinho Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Angelo Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovanni de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ricardinho Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Angelo Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luminosa. Angelo Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vágner Freire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
