Guilherme Guimarães came out of the goal and Gilvan Alves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilvan Alves got free with Guilherme Guimarães in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 66th minute, Gilvan Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind União Autódromo's goalkeeper Guilherme Guimarães, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by União Autódromo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lenílson Fonseca was slow to take the kick. During this time Liverpool's players had a chance to rest. Lenílson Fonseca made a great header on Liverpool's corner, it was just that União Autódromo's Guilherme Guimarães managed to reach the ball for a save. Waldemar Leite was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 96th minute.
