In the 21st minute Osvaldo Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CORINTHIANS LINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Augusto Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Luizão Vargas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Guacupi FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Enrique Prestes hit a great ball. If Amadeu Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 40 minutes on the clock, Zé Augusto Aguiar commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Guacupi FC's Vicente de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Guacupi FC from getting a goal against them. Osvaldo Sena scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Angelo Garcia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amadeu Monteiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vicente de Mendonça took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sidnei Sanches, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Guacupi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeu Monteiro came free, but Vicente de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente de Mendonça having to interfere. The long shot by Luizão Vargas in the 66th minute really tested Angelo Garcia's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 77 minutes into the match, Amadeu Monteiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente de Mendonça. Guacupi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amadeu Monteiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Davi Lago kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Guacupi FC's zone, Sidnei Sanches stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente de Mendonça came out of the goal and Sidnei Sanches tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilian Saldanha hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Osvaldo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute, Sílvio de Sena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
