When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidnei Cavalcante made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Pedro Monteiro got free with Rui Alves in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 1-5 became the score in the 89th minute when Olavo Baptista elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José Pedro Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Alves having to interfere. After 93 played minutes Os Espartanos got a freekick which was hit by Gilvan Urbano. Tejuco's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
