The tension between the Cavagnoli and the Red Dream FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Red Dream FC's João Francisco Mendes was substituted for Eusébio Pinheiro. Jânio Pires hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After 10 minutes, Andrézinho Ferraz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cavagnoli and the Red Dream FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th minute, Gabriel Corrêa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Cavagnoli:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Red Dream FC:s goal. Gabriel Corrêa shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Adhemar Hermes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilvan Ramalho hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Gabriel Corrêa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lauro Quirino in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Paes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Gabriel Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Red Dream FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gabriel Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Erik Paes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Léo Baptista in the 38th minute of play. Cavagnoli's Erik Paes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Corrêa in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 43 minutes, Tomé Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cavagnoli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomé Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th minute, Gabriel Corrêa made a precise shot to the right of Erik Paes. Cavagnoli's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 52 played minutes Cavagnoli got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar de Souza. 53 minutes into the match, Red Dream FC's Lauro Quirino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 62nd minute, Cavagnoli's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gabriel Corrêa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Erik Paes was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Gualter Toscano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gualter Toscano really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. 69 minutes into the match, Cavagnoli's goalkeeper Erik Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabriel Corrêa. Luisão Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Ronaldo Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lauro Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 77th minute by Lauro Quirino got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cavagnoli's goalkeeper Erik Paes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lauro Quirino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 93rd minute, Léo Baptista fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Andrézinho Ferraz was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Cavagnoli's Andrézinho Ferraz got a free kick in the 95th minute. Erik Paes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Quirino, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Red Dream FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
