The referee showed Elivélton Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 18 minutes, Kaká Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mati's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desportiva Guarabira's Marcos Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Brito in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Brito in the 24th minute of play forced Desportiva Guarabira's goalkeeper Marcos Hoffmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Téo Mineiro scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Falcão Neiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Desportiva Guarabira getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Geraldo Cavalcante hit a great ball. Téo Mineiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Falcão Neiva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Kaká Brito struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Marcos Hoffmann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mati. Téo Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dráuzio Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Mati's goal looked a bit too open when Raphael Meireles came free, but Falcão Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Desportiva Guarabira! The Desportiva Guarabira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Elivélton Linhares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Téo Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mati's Falcão Neiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 68th minute, Desportiva Guarabira's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kaká Brito fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Raphael Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Téo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Elivélton Linhares came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Desportiva Guarabira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elivélton Linhares couldn't finish the play. After 82 minutes of play, Desportiva Guarabira's Luís Fabiano de Andrade made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Falcão Neiva was left in no man's land by his defense there! Falcão Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Dráuzio Sampaio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Téo Mineiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráuzio Sampaio took the ball and in the 98 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Falcão Neiva. Falcão Neiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Desportiva Guarabira fully deserved thier win.
