With a left leg Toninho Barros saved Linhares FC from getting behind. Toninho Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Sena in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 31st match minute, Cachorroes F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moisés Sena to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geraldo Braga in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ulysses Sabóia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Donato Baiano's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Ulysses Sabóia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute Oswaldo Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulysses Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Sabóia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oswaldo Sena went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

Nuno Leão might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ulysses Sabóia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Leão ran back to his position shaking his head. After 70 played minutes Cachorroes F.C got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Barros. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswaldo Sena in the 71st minute of play forced Cachorroes F.C's goalkeeper Ulysses Sabóia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Leão in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ulysses Sabóia saved Cachorroes F.C from getting behind. Linhares FC had played much better football throughout.
