Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ediberto Tavares started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Rafa Amorim put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Renato Amaral. In the 10th minute Ivo Dias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Renato Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. A hard shot 14 in the game by Jean Félix from a close distance when the talented Pedro Luís Correia managed to make a qualified save. Cruangy's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Carlos Gaúcho during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Cruangy booed when Iraguacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ediberto Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Amaral read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Iraguacu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Ivo Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Renato Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Bezerra charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Enrique Bezerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 35th minute, Cléberson Fonseca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Pedro Luís Correia, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 36 minutes, Jean Félix managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iraguacu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean Félix was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 played minutes Iraguacu got a freekick which was hit by João Carlos Gaúcho. Jean Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Correia having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Cléberson Fonseca made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Luís Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Fonseca in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Luiz Fábio Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cléberson Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 59th minute, Cruangy's Ediberto Tavares ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Renato Amaral. Renato Amaral yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Enrique Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Jean Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Correia having to interfere. 76 minutes in the game, Zézinho de Amorim fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Renato Amaral having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Ivo Dias notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Iraguacu's Renato Amaral. Renato Amaral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st match minute, Cruangy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafa Amorim to maneuver through the defense. João Carlos Gaúcho was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 92nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ivo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Amaral having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cruangy walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
