Carlos Fernando Lucas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Castro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Leandro Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Fernando Lucas's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Carlos Fernando Lucas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Castro having to make a save. Mané Borges fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Linhares having to interfere. When Nelsinho Albuquerque fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taboca's protests and gave Nelsinho Albuquerque a yellow card for diving instead. Anderson Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Linhares having to interfere. Leandro Castro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Fernando Lucas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 62 minute of play. Anderson Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Fernando Lucas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 69th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Princesa Sport Clube's Anderson Galvão in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
