Leandro Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robinho Carvalho in the 20th minute of play. Leandro Castro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mané do Valle's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, Carlos Augusto Pinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Princesa Sport Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Viadutos FC the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Princesa Sport Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Augusto Pinho to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Daniel Luz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Borges in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Walmir Ortiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Leandro Castro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Matheus Linares's late challenge caught a Viadutos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matheus Linares helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, one of Princesa Sport Clube:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Princesa Sport Clube. In the 37th minute there was a penalty for Viadutos FC. Daniel Luz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Leandro Castro. 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mané Borges managed to get in a good position for a shot. Princesa Sport Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Mané Borges was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 45 minutes into the match, Viadutos FC's goalkeeper Walmir Ortiz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anderson Galvão. In the 47th minute, Anderson Galvão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mané Borges stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Viadutos FC's Alfredinho Miranda got a free kick in the 57th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Princesa Sport Clube's Zé Paulo Siqueira tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Borges in the 60th minute of play forced Viadutos FC's goalkeeper Walmir Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mané Borges in the 62nd minute of the match. Daniel Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Mané do Valle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Leandro Castro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Princesa Sport Clube's zone, Edmílson Vargas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Castro came out of the goal and Edmílson Vargas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viadutos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
