Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hílton Correia started the match with the kick off. After 8 played minutes Barracao got a freekick which was hit by Arlindo Ferraz. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, João Albuquerque managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taireta's supporters rose to their feet, but João Albuquerque was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Schmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Arlindo Ferraz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Barracao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo Ferraz couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute, Barracao's Romário Pombal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Romário Pombal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Barracao protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Romário Pombal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 21st minute, one of Barracao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Barracao. In the 27th minute, Afonso Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Barracao's Hílton Correia got a free kick in the 29th minute. João Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michel Schmidt having to interfere. The audience was convinced that João Albuquerque's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Michel Schmidt was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Albuquerque in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michel Schmidt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. João Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Michel Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taireta. In the 44th match minute, Barracao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Machado to maneuver through the defense. Mário Porto hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute of the match Richard Secco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Schmidt showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 47 minutes of play, Taireta's João Albuquerque made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michel Schmidt was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Barracao players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Taireta were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Albuquerque was the one to do the kick off. Taireta's João Albuquerque got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute, João Albuquerque reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Michel Schmidt. The goal made the score 0-4. João Albuquerque did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Michel Schmidt 66 minutes into the match. João Albuquerque struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Michel Schmidt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taireta. Rafa Mangueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Michel Schmidt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Claudinei Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Michel Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Arlindo Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Albuquerque's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Michel Schmidt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.
