When Marcus Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KONOHA SPORT CLUB's protests and gave Marcus Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to KONOHA SPORT CLUB getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Marcus Marinho hit a great ball. If Falcão Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, KONOHA SPORT CLUB's Aloísio Branco got control of the ball when Glauco dos Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
