In the 12th minute, one of Santos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Róbson Velasco in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vitório Lucas saved Santos FC from getting behind. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. João Vítor Schmidt hit a great ball. Laerte Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Lucas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Róbson Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vitório Lucas came out of the goal and Róbson Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Telmo Eger hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Guaracy. Hernani Barreto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vitório Lucas. 0-3. Vitório Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Natã Costa during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jeferson Dionísio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Daniel Barreto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Laerte Vides hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Santos FC's Vitório Lucas got control of the ball when Róbson Velasco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Róbson Velasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laerte Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Vitório Lucas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Guaracy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Santos FC.
