A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Punau SS's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Correia came free, but Oswaldo Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jeferson Dionísio charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeferson Dionísio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeferson Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Santos FC's Vitório Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Loureiro in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Falcão Loureiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Punau SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Loureiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Luís Barral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Santos FC's Vitório Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

After recieving a nice pass, Santos FC's Ruy Matorin tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The Santos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vitório Lucas should have stopped the shot. After having played for 70 minutes, Fred Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
