With a little luck, Academia Tricolor's Nando Hoffmann got control of the ball when Jeferson Dionísio tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Fred Correia fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Fred Correia a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Jeremias Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academia Tricolor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Academia Tricolor's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Correia came free, but Nando Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jeremias Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The wind increased when Fred Correia made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Tricolor's zone, Fred Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nando Hoffmann came out of the goal and Fred Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 60 minutes into the match, Academia Tricolor's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Dionísio came free, but Nando Hoffmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 2-2 became the score in the 64th minute when Percival da Cunha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Fred Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nando Hoffmann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Academia Tricolor getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Cauã Sena hit a great ball. Percival da Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vitório Lucas having to interfere. Jeferson Dionísio took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nando Hoffmann. Nando Hoffmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. If Fred Correia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
