Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when André Luiz Soeiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. André Luiz Soeiro struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Naldo Ferraz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Piracununga. Jundiaí FC's Juninho Rezende got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinei Aparecido in the 20th minute of play forced Jundiaí FC's goalkeeper Naldo Ferraz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Piracununga got a freekick which was hit by Kiko Proença. After a defensive mix-up in Jundiaí FC's zone, Gugu Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Naldo Ferraz came out of the goal and Gugu Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute, Dinei Aparecido got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Piracununga fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Piracununga's André Luiz Soeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Piracununga's Angelo Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Penha in the 45th minute of play.

Dinei Aparecido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Naldo Ferraz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. André Luiz Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Piracununga's André Luiz Soeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 70 minutes, Amadeu Penha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jundiaí FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Penha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amadeu Penha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Abreu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Naldo Ferraz made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Luiz Soeiro in the 87th minute. André Luiz Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When André Luiz Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Piracununga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz Soeiro couldn't finish the play. Naldo Ferraz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz Soeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Piracununga's Angelo Abreu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Rezende in the 97th minute of play. The Jundiaí FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Piracununga were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
