Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Pyrenopolis's Fernando Marinho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 minutes, Erivaldo Figueiredo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pyrenopolis and the Nazaret SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erivaldo Figueiredo hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Willian Trevisan struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Luisinho Campidelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nazaret SS. After a rather tough play, Nazaret SS's Emílio Corrêa got a free kick in the 14th minute. Pyrenopolis's Olívio de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Pyrenopolis's Luisinho Campidelis got control of the ball when Willian Trevisan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luisinho Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Willian Trevisan sent off a good shot on target. Willian Trevisan's late challenge caught a Pyrenopolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Willian Trevisan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nazaret SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Willian Trevisan hit a great ball. Luisinho Campidelis made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Willian Trevisan sent off a good shot on target. If Magno Goiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nazaret SS's Willian Trevisan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 48th minute Olívio de Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Magno Goiano to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Erivaldo Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pyrenopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Erivaldo Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dadá Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Olívio de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadá Cabral having to interfere. Dadá Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Marinho in the 59th minute of play. Olívio de Carvalho came free with the goalkeeper in the 64th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dadá Cabral could save by the left post. Olívio de Carvalho in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dadá Cabral, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 71 minutes into the match, Fernando Marinho notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Nazaret SS's Dadá Cabral. Dadá Cabral was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 77 minutes into the match, Nazaret SS's goalkeeper Dadá Cabral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Olívio de Carvalho. Pyrenopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Marinho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute, Nazaret SS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Olívio de Carvalho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When Fernando Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pyrenopolis fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Marinho couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pyrenopolis walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
