The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 26thth minute of the game André Luís Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Industrial Futebol Clube's José Paulo Paiva was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Lira in the 27th minute of play forced Industrial Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Paulo Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Lira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Industrial Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Michel Mendes. Walmyr Teles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. José Paulo Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Industrial Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Peres came free, but José Paulo Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Paulo Paiva stood somewhat misplaced when André Luís Bueno came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 45 minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

José Paulo Paiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Lira in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luís Bueno in the 57th minute of play forced Industrial Futebol Clube's goalkeeper José Paulo Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st match minute, Industrial Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Arruda to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute André Luís Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If André Luís Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute, Wesley Massa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, André Luís Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanumbi's supporters rose to their feet, but André Luís Bueno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Paiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Francisco Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Paiva having to interfere. When Guanumbi's André Luís Bueno in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
