Spectators: 6651 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1651, VIP seats: 0) Traitu's Guto do Vale started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guto do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Valadares made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Carlos Augusto Quadros sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute, Carlos Augusto Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edmílson Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Valadares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmílson Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd match minute, Mirandella EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rômulo Arce to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Hudson Godoi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonardo Valadares was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. 27 minutes into the match, Mirandella EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hudson Godoi came free, but Leonardo Valadares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Augusto Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Mirandella EC defense, Guto do Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Valadares. The Mirandella EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Valadares should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Traitu getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Diguinho de Castro hit a great ball. Carlos Augusto Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Valadares having to interfere. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mirandella EC's Edmílson Pinho in the 47th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Claudinei Valadares was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Traitu through an amazing save. After the first half Traitu were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Edmílson Pinho made the kick off in the second half. If Guto do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 52nd minute, Mirandella EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Hudson Godoi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leonardo Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guto do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Deivid das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Mirandella EC's zone, Hudson Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Valadares came out of the goal and Hudson Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Mirandella EC's Leonardo Valadares got control of the ball when Hudson Godoi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Augusto Quadros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Claudinei Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 played minutes Traitu got a freekick which was hit by Zé Trevisan. 70 minutes into the game, Traitu's Hudson Godoi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Leonardo Valadares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 73rd minute, Carlos Augusto Quadros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Traitu's zone, Carlos Augusto Quadros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Valadares came out of the goal and Carlos Augusto Quadros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinei Valadares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Pinho in the 81st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Augusto Quadros in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Valadares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the game, Chiquinho Meirelles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Traitu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirandella EC the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Quadros in the 88th minute of play forced Traitu's goalkeeper Claudinei Valadares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claudinei Valadares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edmílson Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Hudson Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Traitu's supporters rose to their feet, but Hudson Godoi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Valadares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guto do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leonardo Valadares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Traitu had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
