An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Pinho in the 17th minute of play forced Mattao SS's goalkeeper Téo Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Luiz Gustavo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leonardo Valadares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luiz Gustavo Leite went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Edmílson Pinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mattao SS's Téo Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Mattao SS from getting a goal against them. Carlos Augusto Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Téo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Pinho in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, one of Mirandella EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The Mirandella EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mattao SS were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Eduardo Botelho to make the kick off. Téo Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleiton de Almeida in the 53rd minute of play. Aloísio Sousa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Téo Azevedo. Mattao SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mirandella EC's Cleiton de Almeida got a free kick in the 66th minute. The long shot by Dito Barral in the 66th minute really tested Leonardo Valadares's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Cléber Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Dito Barral blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Valadares having to make a save. If Edmílson Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Téo Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmílson Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the match, Mattao SS's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Augusto Quadros came free, but Téo Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleiton de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mirandella EC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Cleiton de Almeida hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Mirandella EC's zone, Luiz Gustavo Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Valadares came out of the goal and Luiz Gustavo Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leonardo Valadares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Gustavo Leite showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 87 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Francisco do Vale during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Francisco do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Mirandella EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Mattao SS's performance. The match ended with a win for Mattao SS.
