Alquimistas booed when The Last Word was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 66th minute, Alberto Messias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alfredo Abreu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Messias in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, The Last Word's Afonsinho Severo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Alfredo Abreu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alberto Messias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 73 minute of play.
