The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tostão Prata was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Caracanga FC's Jano Barral got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Tostão Prata blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Magno Quirino having to make a save. Frederico Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Mazza in the 63rd minute of play. Raí Mazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Cardoso having to interfere. Daniel Vergílio might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frederico Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Vergílio ran back to his position shaking his head. When Cipriano Prestes fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caracanga FC's protests and gave Cipriano Prestes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Caracanga FC getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Cipriano Prestes hit a great ball. Téo Toscano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Júnior Passos from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Magno Quirino's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Téo Toscano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tostão Prata in the 85th minute of play forced Caracanga FC's goalkeeper Magno Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Caracanga FC defense, Téo Toscano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Magno Quirino. The Caracanga FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Magno Quirino should have stopped the shot. Daniel Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederico Cardoso having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vila Palmeiras FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
