Jeferson Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Bernardinho Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Santos Futebol Clube's zone, Hélio Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardinho Lago came out of the goal and Hélio Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Orlando Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Lago having to interfere. Bernardinho Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Enio Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santos Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jacare the free kick. A collision led to Santos Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Enio Souza hit a great ball. Cido Silva struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Bernardinho Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacare. After 34 played minutes Jeferson Cardozo rounded Santos Futebol Clube's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-0. Noel Sabóia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bernardinho Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Dias in the 44th minute of play. Jacare's Jeferson Cardozo got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cido Silva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Bernardinho Lago made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hélio Neto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Marcos Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hélio Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hélio Neto struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Bernardinho Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jacare. When Kauan Campidelis fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos Futebol Clube's protests and gave Kauan Campidelis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Kauan Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jeferson Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Jacare fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeferson Cardozo couldn't finish the play. Bernardinho Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 77 minutes of play, Jacare's Marcos Souza made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardinho Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! Valdo Perez acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 81st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Caio Siqueira. Jacare's Marcos Souza suffered a sprained foot after 82 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Santos Futebol Clube's Enio Souza got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Enio Souza off the ground. Orlando Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardinho Lago having to interfere. If Orlando Dias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardinho Lago didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Orlando Dias went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Jacare players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
