Spectators: 6810 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 144) Vila Rural EC's Raúl Vaz started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Denílson Madureira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ruy de Moraes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denílson Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy de Moraes having to interfere. When Ricardo Novaes came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pitbulls United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Novaes couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Vaz in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruy de Moraes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 12 minutes into the game, Luiz Fernando Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pitbulls United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vila Rural EC the free kick. Denílson Madureira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy de Moraes having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ricardo Novaes got free with Wilton Sergipano in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zézinho Mello hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Raúl Vaz scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruy de Moraes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Novaes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Wilton Sergipano made a huge save. Denílson Madureira took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ruy de Moraes. Ruy de Moraes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Leopoldo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy de Moraes having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Vila Rural EC's Denílson Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leopoldo Ferreira's late challenge caught a Pitbulls United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Ferreira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Vila Rural EC's Leopoldo Ferreira got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Vila Rural EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Virgílio Ceresso scored to the left of an out of position Wilton Sergipano, making the score, 2-3. After the first half Vila Rural EC were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Virgílio Ceresso made a kick off. Denílson Madureira had several of the Pitbulls United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-4 score and a disappointed Ruy de Moraes as he didn't even see the shot coming. 58 minutes into the match, Vila Rural EC's Joaquim Botelho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Raúl Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgílio Ceresso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Wilton Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruy de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raúl Vaz in the 73rd minute of the match. Denílson Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes of play, Vila Rural EC's Denílson Madureira made it 2-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy de Moraes was left in no man's land by his defense there! 82 minutes into the match, Vila Rural EC's Denílson Madureira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ruy de Moraes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 86 played minutes Vila Rural EC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Ferreira. A collision led to Vila Rural EC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Raúl Vaz hit a great ball. After 94 played minutes, Pitbulls United's Antônio Tepedino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Wilton Sergipano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Pitbulls United reached it. Joaquim Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Ricardo Novaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilton Sergipano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Wilton Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgílio Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
