The tension between the Quirinopolis and the Vila Rural EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. André Luís Aparecido kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Denílson Madureira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Rural EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Madureira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matheus Neiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee gave Quirinopolis a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Hugo Guedes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vila Rural EC's Wilton Sergipano. 1-1. Quirinopolis's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Raúl Vaz scored to the left of an out of position Matheus Neiva, making the score, 2-1. Denílson Madureira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raúl Vaz in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Matheus Neiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim Negri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Wilton Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zézinho Mello hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Denílson Madureira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matheus Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Quirinopolis's Joaquim Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, Quirinopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Raúl Vaz came free, but Matheus Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Quirinopolis defense, Raúl Vaz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matheus Neiva. The Quirinopolis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matheus Neiva should have stopped the shot. Matheus Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raúl Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raúl Vaz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matheus Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Madureira in the 70th minute of play forced Quirinopolis's goalkeeper Matheus Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilton Sergipano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joaquim Negri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 79 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denílson Madureira in the 83rd minute of play forced Quirinopolis's goalkeeper Matheus Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Quirinopolis's zone, Denílson Madureira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matheus Neiva came out of the goal and Denílson Madureira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes had been played when some careless play by Quirinopolis's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fellipe Godoi was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Rural EC's players had a chance to rest. Fellipe Godoi made a great header on Vila Rural EC's corner, it was just that Quirinopolis's Matheus Neiva managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Quirinopolis's Wilton Sergipano threw himself towards the right post 94 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquim Negri, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
