When Cléber Lago came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Acaiaca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber Lago couldn't finish the play. Arlindo Madureira hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 7 minutes into the match, Acaiaca's Cléber Lago sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Noel Nascimento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, pavilhao 9's Dinei Couto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emanuel Antunes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emanuel Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinei Couto in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute Cléber Lago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Noel Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Noel Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Claudinho Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Breno Secco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Antunes came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by pavilhao 9's Zé Augusto Tróia. But to his dismay, Zé Augusto Tróia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 30th minute of the match Thomás Mesquita shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emanuel Antunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dinei Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Antunes having to interfere. If Laerte Salgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Laerte Salgado made the kick off in the second half. Laerte Salgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Salgado, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Emanuel Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Augusto Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes, pavilhao 9's Rafael Berger shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuel Antunes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in pavilhao 9 reached it. Noel Nascimento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laerte Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Acaiaca's Laerte Salgado got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in pavilhao 9's zone, Laerte Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Noel Nascimento came out of the goal and Laerte Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Claudinho Moura hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Acaiaca eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
