Caetano Veiga hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After having played for 7 minutes, Allan Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piassabussu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Andrézinho Meirelles charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho Meirelles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Reinado AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Rodolfo Mota's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Vasconcelos was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. In the 13th minute, Rodolfo Mota made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Vasconcelos. Reinado AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Amauri Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rio Claro having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Piassabussu got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Motta. 38 minutes into the game, Ronaldinho Loureiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rio Claro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ronaldinho Loureiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rio Claro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Allan Corrêa to make the kick off. Amauri Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rio Claro having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 54th minute by Rodolfo Mota got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Allan Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sílvio Vasconcelos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Allan Corrêa in the 60th minute of the match. After 61 minutes of play, Reinado AD's Amauri Zonta made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rio Claro was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 71st minute, Ronaldinho Loureiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rio Claro was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 77th minute, Segundo Torrecillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reinado AD's Amauri Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Rodolfo Mota came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Piassabussu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodolfo Mota couldn't finish the play. Sílvio Luís de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Isaltino Cardoso hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Rio Claro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Sílvio Vasconcelos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Mota in the 96th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Reinado AD had won after a very even match.
