Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Imperatriz's Nicolas Motta started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeca Eger in the 3rd minute of play forced Imperatriz's goalkeeper Dudu Paraense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamim Vargas during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 4th match minute, Imperatriz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Motta in the 6th minute of the match. If Nicolas Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlinhos Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Delfim Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Dudu Paraense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeca Eger in the 19th minute of play. A collision led to Imperatriz getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Vicente Schmidt hit a great ball. Dudu Paraense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zeca Eger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Vaz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Paulina FC's zone, Nicolas Motta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Delfim Vaz came out of the goal and Nicolas Motta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nicolas Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Vaz having to interfere. The supporters of Paulina FC booed when Imperatriz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Motta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zeca Eger in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dudu Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

If Zeca Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, Paulina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilvan Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Abel Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abel Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Paulina FC! In the 57th minute there was a penalty for Imperatriz. Reginaldo de Amaral stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Delfim Vaz. 1-0. Paulina FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Imperatriz the free kick. A collision led to Paulina FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Agnaldo Neto hit a great ball. Delfim Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlinhos Furtado in the 73rd minute of the match. After having played for 75 minutes, Zeca Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paulina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zeca Eger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Nicolas Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Paulina FC's Dudu Paraense threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Zeca Eger, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nicolas Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87th minute, José Arruda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Imperatriz got a corner. Paulina FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reginaldo de Amaral ran over to the corner to take the kick. If Benjamim Vargas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the match, Paulina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Motta came free, but Delfim Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zeca Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dudu Paraense having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Imperatriz had played much better football throughout.
