Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5419, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Arlindo Quadros started the match with the kick off. When José Pedro Carvalho fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Night Wolves's protests and gave José Pedro Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. If Anderson Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jânio Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Quadros, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 14th minute, Luisão Mello hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Monteiro, 14 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Bernardinho Santos took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilton Paes. Wilton Paes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, E.C. Cotovelo de cobra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armandinho Pena to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Night Wolves's zone, Bernardinho Santos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilton Paes came out of the goal and Bernardinho Santos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernardinho Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 32nd minute, Gilson Penha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the match, Night Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when Anderson Figueiredo came free, but Wilton Paes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilton Paes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bernardinho Santos's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Anderson Figueiredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilton Paes. Night Wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anderson Figueiredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardinho Santos in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilton Paes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anderson Figueiredo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Pedro Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Robinho Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robinho Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 51st minute, Robinho Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arlindo Quadros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 56 played minutes E.C. Cotovelo de cobra got a freekick which was hit by Robinho Almeida. Luisão Mello was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 57th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Night Wolves booed when E.C. Cotovelo de cobra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armandinho Pena didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bernardinho Santos came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the E.C. Cotovelo de cobra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Santos couldn't finish the play. When José Pedro Carvalho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 65 minutes had been played. José Pedro Carvalho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Jânio Neto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulão de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 73rd minute, Frank Saldanha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Bernardinho Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Night Wolves's goalkeeper Wilton Paes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardinho Santos. The Night Wolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilton Paes should have stopped the shot. With his leg Wilton Paes managed to avoid a goal in the 85thth minute, when E.C. Cotovelo de cobra's Bernardinho Santos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st match minute, Night Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. Bernardinho Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Wilton Paes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The E.C. Cotovelo de cobra supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing E.C. Cotovelo de cobra would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
