Hortêncio Nunes hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After 15 played minutes Greenpig got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Fontes. Mazinho Palmeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Charles Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Greenpig's Charles Freitas got control of the ball when Mazinho Palmeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Pedro Costa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Pedro Costa in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Otávio Leão saved Só Classe FC from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Só Classe FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Pedro Costa came free, but Otávio Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Só Classe FC got a freekick which was hit by Falcão de Carvalho. Mazinho Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Charles Freitas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denílson Bezerra in the 91st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Só Classe FC's zone, Carlos Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Otávio Leão came out of the goal and Carlos Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mazinho Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Greenpig players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
