When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Kauan Capixaba sped through Tocandira FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Leonardo Simão. Leonardo Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percy Urbano in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Spartacus Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Meireles to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Spartacus Futebol Clube's zone, Gilvan Tavares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Martins came out of the goal and Gilvan Tavares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Kauan Capixaba managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartacus Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Capixaba was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonardo Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th match minute, Tocandira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Kauan Capixaba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Tocandira FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Spartacus Futebol Clube:s goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fred Donatello to make the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Fred Donatello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tocandira FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Donatello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 55th minute, Fred Donatello fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Márcio Martins, passed just outside the right post. Kauan Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Simão having to interfere. After some careless play in the Tocandira FC defense, Marcel Meireles kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Simão. The Tocandira FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Simão should have stopped the shot. Kauan Capixaba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Simão having to interfere. Fred Donatello hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. When Gilberto Seco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. In the 75th match minute, Spartacus Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Seco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Tocandira FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hortêncio Vinhas hit a great ball. In the 87th minute Kauan Capixaba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonardo Simão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Percy Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Hortêncio Vinhas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tocandira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Spartacus Futebol Clube the free kick. When the referee ended the match the Spartacus Futebol Clube players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
