After a rather tough play, Unimatriz - Bye Bye MZ's Carlos Alberto de Alcântara got a free kick in the 27th minute. Frank Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Souza prevented the ball from getting in the gole. S. E. Churruminos's Júlio Souza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save S. E. Churruminos from getting a goal against them. Vivaldo Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
