Jundiahy Football Club's Ulisses Tande played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamim Sabóia in the 8th minute of play. Jundiahy Football Club's Ulisses Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Jundiahy Football Club from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Edu Aguiar reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ulisses Tande. The goal made the score 1-0. Guto Meirelles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Walmir Reis went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Walmir Reis in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guto Meirelles saved Libertines from getting behind. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Libertines! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Jundiahy Football Club. Benigno Jobo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Guto Meirelles. 1-2. Jundiahy Football Club's Ulisses Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Jundiahy Football Club from getting a goal against them. Virgílio Branco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Ulisses Tande made a huge save. In the 28th minute Edu Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulisses Tande saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Libertines's Sebastião Dantas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ulisses Tande. That made the score 2-2 after 29 minutes of play. Guto Meirelles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benigno Jobo went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Ulisses Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 42 minutes into the game, Benjamim Sabóia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Libertines's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jundiahy Football Club the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Benjamim Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 2-4 became the score in the 45th minute when Benigno Jobo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 2-4.

The supporters of Jundiahy Football Club booed when Libertines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Dantas took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ulisses Tande. Ulisses Tande dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. 71 minutes into the match, Sebastião Dantas notched a goal, 4-4, to the right of Jundiahy Football Club's Ulisses Tande. Ulisses Tande was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute, Sebastião Dantas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Libertines fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benigno Jobo in the 92nd minute of play forced Libertines's goalkeeper Guto Meirelles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Guto Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
