In the 13thth minute of the game Gilvan Torres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pacova's Matheus da Cunha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gilvan Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Joélson Vander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. João Adolfo de Queirós took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lenílson Mattos. Descoberta's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Descoberta's Severino Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matheus da Cunha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enéas Ferreira to make the kick off. Lenílson Mattos was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Adolfo de Queirós. In the 54th minute, Enéas Ferreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pacova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2.
