The crowd rose to their feet as EC Boca do Rio's Silvério de Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alan Catarinense. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvério de Barros was the one to do the kick off. Kauã Gaspar's late challenge caught a EC Boca do Rio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauã Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of EC Boca do Rio booed when Icaicarinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position.
