Guto Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Hernani Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Sabóia's late challenge caught a Pacova's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamim Sabóia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pacova booed when Libertines was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamim Sabóia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Hernani Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Pacova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Brodel couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute Hernani Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Libertines's Guto Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enéas Ferreira in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Edu Aguiar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 played minutes Pacova got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Leite. If Edu Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Matheus da Cunha successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Guto Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Ferreira in the 34th minute of the match. In the 36th minute Marcel Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sebastião Dantas came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Libertines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Dantas couldn't finish the play. If Edu Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enéas Ferreira made a kick off. Guto Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hernani Brodel sent off a good shot on target. Hernani Brodel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Guto Meirelles made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Aguiar in the 68th minute of play forced Pacova's goalkeeper Matheus da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pacova's João Adolfo de Queirós got a free kick in the 69th minute. In the 77th minute of the match, Enéas Ferreira tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guto Meirelles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Pacova getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Glauco Leite hit a great ball. Guto Meirelles made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Hernani Brodel sent off a good shot on target. João Adolfo de Queirós hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Edu Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matheus da Cunha having to interfere. Guto Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enéas Ferreira in the 91st minute of the match. Pacova's Matheus da Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telmo Catarinense in the 93rd minute of play. Guto Meirelles was a little too slow when Enéas Ferreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-3.
