An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Matos in the 22nd minute of play forced Gifters Predations's goalkeeper Spencer Hopson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Célio Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Célio Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The coaching staff of Gifters Predations protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Eleuterio Benet had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Gifters Predations's Wiliam Lima was substituted for Ricardinho Santana. In the 92nd minute, Eleuterio Benet hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romário Lopez missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 93 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Spencer Hopson right hand side. After some careless play in the Gifters Predations defense, Rubens Matos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Spencer Hopson. The Gifters Predations fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Spencer Hopson should have stopped the shot.
