Haroldo Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo de Azevedo in the 23rd minute of play. Luizão Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Grêmio Maringá's goal looked a bit too open when Arik Geenen came free, but Luís Gustavo Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edvaldo de Azevedo made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rodrigo Gaúcho notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Grêmio Maringá's Luís Gustavo Araújo. Luís Gustavo Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rodrigo Gaúcho in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Gustavo Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Grêmio Maringá getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Luís Gustavo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Rodrigo Gaúcho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Rodrigo Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SpVgg Albrecht's Rodrigo Gaúcho in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luís Gustavo Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Gaúcho in the 74th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Grêmio Maringá defense, Rodrigo Gaúcho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Gustavo Araújo. The Grêmio Maringá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Gustavo Araújo should have stopped the shot. Luizão Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Gustavo Araújo having to interfere. Rodrigo Gaúcho scored 7-1 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luís Gustavo Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edvaldo de Azevedo in the 89th minute of play forced SpVgg Albrecht's goalkeeper Haroldo Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, SpVgg Albrecht's goal looked a bit too open when Edvaldo de Azevedo came free, but Haroldo Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luizão Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
