In the 13thth minute of the game João Augusto Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gigante da Colina's Romário Rezende was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. João Augusto Aguiar took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romário Rezende. Romário Rezende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Wiliam Salles acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 27th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jorginho Moreno. José Carlos Bueno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wiliam Salles having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Luziania SC's zone, José Carlos Bueno stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wiliam Salles came out of the goal and José Carlos Bueno tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute of the match Enéas Loyola shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romário Rezende showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when João Augusto Aguiar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Romário Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Augusto Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, José Carlos Bueno managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a rather tough play, Gigante da Colina's Jorginho Moreno got a free kick in the 72nd minute. 91 minutes into the game, Gigante da Colina's Wilson Ceresso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wiliam Salles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Augusto Aguiar in the 95th minute of play forced Gigante da Colina's goalkeeper Romário Rezende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Bueno in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Salles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 99 minutes into the match, Gigante da Colina's goal looked a bit too open when João Augusto Aguiar came free, but Romário Rezende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
