In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mata Linda's goalkeeper Davi Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Mata Linda got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Mendonça. Davi Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro de Barros in the 30th minute of the match. In the 33rd minute of the match Sílvio Brodel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tomás Furtado skillfully saved the ball. Luan Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davi Tinoco was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Alexsandro de Barros capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rezende's Tomás Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luan Braga in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luan Braga was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Mata Linda defense, Alexsandro de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Davi Tinoco. The Mata Linda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Davi Tinoco should have stopped the shot. If Alexsandro de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 59 minutes of play, Rezende's Dorival Cunha made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davi Tinoco was left in no man's land by his defense there! Davi Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro de Barros in the 65th minute of the match. If Luan Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bernardo Baptista hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 77 minutes into the game, Olavo Figueiredo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mata Linda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rezende the free kick. In the 78th match minute, Mata Linda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar de Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. With a little luck, Rezende's Tomás Furtado got control of the ball when Cauan Vieira tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Rezende had won after a very even match.
