An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Gaúcho in the 15th minute of play forced Mata Linda's goalkeeper Davi Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SpVgg Albrecht's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luizinho Simão in the 16th minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rodrigo Gaúcho made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Matías Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. SpVgg Albrecht's supporters rose to their feet, but Matías Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Davi Tinoco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Mata Linda's Ademir Mendonça got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 87th minute Rodrigo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Luizão Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the SpVgg Albrecht fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luizão Abreu couldn't finish the play. Davi Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SpVgg Albrecht's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
