The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Lisandro Rosio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rui Sarmento was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. 7 minutes into the match, Vinícius de Sousa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Mariano Moron. SE Chambari's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vinícius de Sousa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With his leg Enrique Mariano Moron managed to avoid a goal in the 12thth minute, when Jaboticabal Atlético 007's Raúl Paiva fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Vinícius de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the game, Nilton de Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SE Chambari's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaboticabal Atlético 007 the free kick. Vinícius de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enrique Mariano Moron was a little too slow when Vinícius de Sousa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vinícius de Sousa in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Mariano Moron saved SE Chambari from getting behind. Enrique Mariano Moron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raúl Paiva in the 35th minute. Nilton de Azevedo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute Hélder Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vinícius de Sousa was the one to do the kick off. Charles Maranhense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Sarmento having to interfere. SE Chambari's Anísio Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anísio Ceresso fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 60th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. If Anísio Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Anísio Ceresso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rui Sarmento. Jaboticabal Atlético 007's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anísio Ceresso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 72 minutes into the game, Jaboticabal Atlético 007's Vinícius de Sousa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Enrique Mariano Moron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. 76 minutes into the match, Vinícius de Sousa notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of SE Chambari's Enrique Mariano Moron. Enrique Mariano Moron was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, SE Chambari's Hélder Britto got a free kick in the 81st minute. Enrique Mariano Moron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinícius de Sousa in the 83rd minute of play. Anísio Ceresso missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 94 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Rui Sarmento right hand side. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Jaboticabal Atlético 007 were victorious despite being under pressure from SE Chambari for much of the match.
