José Augusto Velasco might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carlinhos da Silveira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Augusto Velasco ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to cuiabá getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Osvaldinho de Amorim hit a great ball. Delfim Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The cuiabá players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
